10 Best AI Music Generators in 2026, Ranked by What Each Plan Lets You Publish

Suno is the pick for full songs with vocals, and Soundraw for cheap background music under videos. With all of the best AI music generators, the plan you buy decides whether you may publish the result at all.

Suno Pro costs $8 a month billed annually, but its commercial use covers only songs you download, 20 a month. Soundraw Creator costs $5.99 a month on annual billing with unlimited downloads.

Free plans on Suno, Stable Audio, Mubert and AIVA are non-commercial. I ranked 10 tools from their pricing pages and license terms, checked October 17, 2026.

Quick verdict

For a songwriter who wants finished vocal songs, Suno Pro is the pick, as long as 20 publishable downloads a month is enough.

For a musician releasing on Spotify, ElevenLabs’ Creator plan at $22 a month is the first Eleven Music tier whose terms permit streaming distribution. Loudly’s annual plans add royalty payouts through its own distributor.

For monetized YouTube videos, Soundraw Creator or Mubert Pro covers background music; for client videos, Soundraw Creator or Mubert Business. DAW producers should start with Stable Audio.

The trade-off: Suno caps downloads, Eleven Music’s Starter bars streaming release, and Mubert bars it on every plan.

How I Chose the Best AI Music Generators

I considered thirteen tools, the ten ranked below and the three under Also Considered, and ranked them from official pricing pages, terms and license pages checked October 17, 2026. No tool was tested hands-on, so nothing here judges sound quality.

Three must-have criteria came first: a paid plan that permits commercial use, output you may download, and a published price or license page. Udio failed the second test, because its terms forbid downloading Output.

The rest were ranked, in order, by the license for the reader’s job, the download allowance, the entry price, vocal output, and WAV or stems. The evidence is the vendors’ documentation plus my analysis of it.

With the method set, the most common job comes first: a full song with vocals.

1. Suno: Best for Full Songs With Vocals

Suno homepage, first screen
Suno homepage, first screen, suno.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: songwriters and creators who want finished songs with vocals
  • Starting price: $8 per month, billed yearly (Pro)
  • Free plan: 50 credits a day, no monthly song downloads, no commercial rights
  • Standout feature: record, upload and create with your own voice on Pro and Premier

Suno makes the most sense for a songwriter who publishes a handful of vocal songs a month. Pro includes 2,500 credits and 20 song downloads a month.

The download cap carries legal weight. Suno’s terms allow commercial use of Output only after a permitted download within your tier’s monthly allocation, so a song you never download is not cleared for commercial use.

The rights you do get are durable: Suno assigns Pro and Premier users its rights in their Output, and commercial rights for each Download survive cancellation.

Premier is the customization upgrade for a working producer: 60 song downloads a month, Suno Studio with MIDI, effects and automation, and a third stem type.

Annual billing makes Pro a $96 commitment ($8 x 12 months); paying monthly at $10 costs $120 a year ($10 x 12 months). That yearly bill clears 240 songs (20 x 12 months) for commercial use.

Premier$24 per month$30 per month10,000 credits, 60 song downloads a month

Sources: Suno pricing, Suno terms of service, checked Oct 2026.

Pros

  • Commercial use from $8 a month billed yearly
  • Download rights survive cancellation
  • Suno Studio with MIDI and automation on Premier

Cons

  • Unused generations carry no commercial rights
  • Remixes stay non-commercial on every tier
  • No warranty that copyright vests in Output
Skip it if:
you need more than 60 publishable songs a month, Premier’s cap, or instrumental beds for videos, which Soundraw covers with unlimited downloads.

If your track must go to Spotify under a written per-plan rights table, the next pick spells that out.

2. ElevenLabs Eleven Music: Best for Releasing Tracks on Streaming Services

ElevenLabs Eleven Music homepage, first screen
ElevenLabs Eleven Music homepage, first screen, elevenlabs.io, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: musicians who distribute to streaming platforms under written plan terms
  • Starting price: $6 per month (Starter)
  • Free plan: 10k credits a month; music downloads not permitted
  • Integrations: API access from Starter

Paperwork is the reason to pick Eleven Music. ElevenLabs publishes a Music Commercial Rights Table that states, for each plan, the download minutes, streaming distribution and media rights.

ElevenLabs music page introducing its AI music generator
ElevenLabs Eleven Music music page, first screen, elevenlabs.io, captured Oct 2026

Music Streaming Distribution is prohibited on Free and Starter and permitted from Creator up, so a musician planning a release starts at Creator. Starter still permits online and offline commercial use with 30 download minutes, enough for social videos.

Creator’s music terms cap generation at 62 minutes a month against 250 download minutes, so generation is the limit a prolific musician hits first. Lossless WAV downloads start on Pro.

Every self-serve plan excludes film, TV, radio and Studio Games. Free to Pro are for individual use only; Scale needs fewer than 10 employees and Business fewer than 50.

Music shares one credit pool with every ElevenLabs product, so voiceover eats into song credits. A creator who needs both can compare the AI voice generators ranked by job.

Creator costs $22 a month. Annual billing charges 10 months, so a year costs $22 x 10 = $220 instead of $22 x 12 = $264; prices exclude taxes.

Scale$2991.8M, 3 seatsFewer than 10 employees

Pros

  • Streaming distribution permitted from Creator, in writing
  • Commercial use from Starter at $6 a month
  • Annual billing charges 10 months for 12

Cons

  • Media rights exclude film, TV and radio on self-serve plans
  • Credits shared with voice, dubbing and sound effects
  • Creator’s music terms cap generation at 62 minutes a month
Skip it if:
you score film, TV or radio work, which every self-serve plan excludes, or you run a company of 50 or more people outside an Enterprise deal.

A creator who only needs background beds pays here for streaming rights they never use.

3. Soundraw: Best for Unlimited Background Music in Videos

Soundraw homepage, first screen
Soundraw homepage, first screen, soundraw.io, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: content creators who need background music for every video
  • Starting price: $5.99 per month, billed annually (Creator)
  • Free plan: not listed on the pricing page
  • Integrations: API on Enterprise

For a creator publishing several videos a week, the point of Soundraw is that Creator never counts downloads. It includes commercial use and unlimited mp3 downloads for individuals and companies under 10 employees.

All plans cover YouTube, product videos, live streams, client work, radio and TV. Video content you do not own, such as movies and ads, sits on the ask-first list.

Spotify release is where the plans split. Artist plans may distribute songs to DSPs such as Spotify only after you modify the beat, for example with your own vocals, until it sounds clearly different.

Content ID registration, unmodified distribution and stock-platform resale stay barred on every plan. If the footage is still the missing piece, my ranking of AI video generators covers the tools that make it.

On the annual view, Creator comes to $71.88 a year ($5.99 x 12 months); the monthly view charges $9.99. Mureka Pro, the next unlimited-download plan here, costs $8 a month billed yearly, for vocal songs in MP3.

Pros

  • Unlimited downloads with commercial use on Creator
  • Client work, radio and TV allowed on all plans
  • Wav and stems from Artist Pro

Cons

  • Companies of 10+ employees need a quote
  • No Content ID registration on any plan
  • Unmodified beats cannot go to DSPs
Skip it if:
your company has 10 or more employees, which puts you on quote-only Enterprise, or you want to release a generated beat unchanged.

Producers who build tracks inside a DAW need a generator that plugs into it.

4. Stable Audio: Best for Producers Working in a DAW

Stable Audio homepage, first screen
Stable Audio homepage, first screen, stableaudio.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: producers and sound designers
  • Starting price: $12 per month (Solo)
  • Free plan: 50 credits a month, personal and non-commercial use
  • Integrations: DAW plugin; self-hosting for enterprises over $1M revenue

The generator comes to the DAW here. Every Stable Audio plan, Free included, comes with the web app and the Stable Audio DAW plugin, so a producer can generate without leaving the session.

Paid plans generate full mixes or multi-track output up to 6 minutes, each with a commercial license. Separate parts cost more: Solo’s 660 credits buy about 165 full-mix but 110 multi-track generations a month.

A producer who mixes from separate parts will outgrow Solo first, so Session, at about 300 multi-track generations, is the realistic plan for weekly sessions.

Solo comes to $144 over a year ($12 x 12 months), and credits reset every month.

Pros

  • DAW plugin included on every plan
  • Commercial license on all paid plans
  • Multi-track generation for separate parts

Cons

  • Free plan is non-commercial
  • Multi-track output uses credits faster
  • Vocals and streaming terms not listed on the pricing page

you want finished songs with vocals, which the pricing page does not list, or written terms on streaming release.

A YouTube channel or an agency needs licensing spelled out by use, which is what Mubert’s plans do.

5. Mubert: Best for Monetized Channels and Agency Work

Mubert Render homepage, first screen
Mubert homepage, first screen, mubert.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: YouTubers, agencies and app makers
  • Starting price: $11.69 per month, billed annually (Creator, non-commercial)
  • Free plan: Ambassador, 25 tracks and 5 downloads a month, non-commercial
  • Integrations: Music API for app developers

Mubert’s cheapest paid plan is the trap in this list: Creator costs money but stays non-commercial, so a monetized channel needs Pro. Pro adds monetization and the full Track Editor, the customization layer for structure, stems, BPM and key.

Business is the agency tier, for client work, apps and games, with 1,000 tracks a month.

On every plan, tracks cannot be sold as music, published on Spotify or other streaming platforms, registered in Content ID or uploaded to stock libraries.

Old tracks cannot go into new projects after the subscription ends, though projects published earlier stay monetized. Creators who build videos from scripts can pair it with text-to-video AI generators.

Pro lists $39 a month, or $32.49 a month billed annually, a $389.88 commitment ($32.49 x 12 months).

Pros

  • Licensing stated by use, from monetized videos to apps
  • Unlimited downloads on paid plans
  • Track Editor changes structure, BPM and key

Cons

  • Creator is non-commercial despite its price
  • Tracks cannot enter new projects after cancelling
  • Payments are non-refundable

you release music on streaming services, register Content ID, or plan to reuse old tracks after cancelling.

Owning the composition outright, rather than licensing it, is AIVA’s offer.

6. AIVA: Best for Owning the Copyright of Instrumental Scores

AIVA homepage, first screen
AIVA homepage, first screen, aiva.ai, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: composers and creators who want to own the copyright
  • Pricing: Standard €11 / month + VAT, Pro €33 / month + VAT, both billed annually
  • Free plan: 3 downloads a month, credit AIVA, copyright owned by AIVA
  • Standout feature: 250+ styles and custom style models from an audio or MIDI influence

Ownership, not licensing, is what AIVA sells. On Pro, AIVA’s license agreement assigns all copyrights of each downloaded composition to you, for the world and in perpetuity.

Free and Standard keep copyright with AIVA. Standard’s limited commercial license covers monetization only on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram, while Pro adds full monetization, 300 downloads a month and WAV export.

Individual plans fit a person, or a business with fewer than 3 employees or under $300k of revenue in the past year. Uploading your own audio or MIDI as an influence grants AIVA a perpetual license to train its AI on it.

AIVA’s pricing page shows euro prices outside the US, and US prices may differ.

  • Pro, €33 / month + VAT billed annually: copyright owned by you, full monetization, 300 downloads a month

Pros

  • Pro assigns full copyright to you
  • MIDI downloads on every plan
  • Style models from your own audio or MIDI

Cons

  • Free and Standard leave copyright with AIVA
  • Uploaded influences may train AIVA’s AI
  • Businesses past the Individual definition need a custom plan
Skip it if:
you need songs with vocals, which neither the pricing page nor the license mentions, or your business falls outside AIVA’s Individual definition.

Creators who publish dozens of tracks a month need volume more than ownership.

7. MusicGPT: Best for High-Volume Generation With Unlimited Downloads

MusicGPT homepage, first screen
MusicGPT homepage, first screen, musicgpt.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: creators who publish many tracks a month
  • Starting price: $9.99 per month, billed annually (Plus)
  • Free plan: 500 credits, each download costs 50 credits
  • Standout feature: unlimited downloads with commercial use on every paid plan

Volume is the whole pitch. Plus creates 100 songs a month with unlimited downloads and commercial use, so nobody rations downloads the way Suno Pro’s 20 a month forces.

Generations carry no watermark, and Plus adds text to speech and sound effects for a creator who scores and voices short videos in one app.

Pro raises the cap to 500 songs, adds remix and edit tools and best-quality downloads; Ultra removes the song cap. The free plan suits auditioning: 500 credits cover 10 downloads at 50 credits each.

On annual billing, Plus totals $119.88 a year; monthly billing raises it to $11.99 a month. MusicGPT says the yearly subscription saves 34%.

Pros

  • Unlimited downloads on every paid plan
  • Songs, sound effects and text to speech in one plan
  • Ultra removes the song cap

Cons

  • Plus downloads in MP3 quality
  • Streaming release not named on the pricing page
  • Remix and edit tools start on Pro
Skip it if:
you need best-quality downloads on the cheapest plan, since Plus downloads in MP3 quality, or written terms for a Spotify release.

For vocal songs specifically, a cheaper route to volume exists in Mureka.

8. Mureka: Best for Budget Vocal Songs at High Volume

Mureka homepage, first screen
Mureka homepage, first screen, mureka.ai, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: creators who need many vocal songs on a small budget
  • Starting price: $8 per month, billed $96 yearly (Pro)
  • Free plan: 4 songs a day, MP3 downloads
  • Standout feature: up to 500 songs a month and unlimited MP3 downloads on Pro

Mureka answers the question Suno’s download cap raises. Its Pro plan matches Suno Pro’s yearly price but allows up to 500 songs a month with unlimited MP3 downloads.

Pro carries full commercial rights for all songs, new and past creations, so songs made before upgrading become usable once you subscribe. Mureka’s own page names Spotify releases, podcasts and TikTok among the uses its commercial rights cover.

Mureka’s create page goes further, a vendor claim: generated music belongs entirely to you, with complete creative control.

Premier allows up to 2,000 songs a month, 12 stems, WAV, MIDI and DAW session downloads, and professional voice cloning.

Pro is billed $96 yearly and Premier $288 yearly. Pro’s yearly bill covers up to 6,000 songs (500 x 12 months).

Pros

  • Up to 500 songs a month on Pro
  • Commercial rights cover past creations after upgrading
  • Professional voice cloning on Premier

  • Pro downloads MP3 only
  • Stems, WAV and voice cloning need Premier
  • Free plan stops at 4 songs a day

When the goal is a release that pays royalties, the next pick handles distribution itself.

9. Loudly: Best for Distributing AI Tracks to Spotify

Loudly homepage, first screen
Loudly homepage, first screen, loudly.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: musicians who release AI tracks to streaming services
  • Starting price: $8 per month, billed annually (Personal, $96 a year)
  • Free plan: 0.5-minute song previews, 1 download per day, non-commercial
  • Integrations: AI Music Generation API

Loudly bundles the release step. Every paid plan includes Loudly Distro, which delivers music to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and more; the Free plan card says No Distribution.

Billing decides the payout. Monthly plans get Distro Basic with 20 releases a month; payouts need an annual plan, whose Distro Plus pays 100% of streaming royalties and allows 200 releases a month.

Spotify release runs only through Loudly’s own distribution, and Loudly retains the copyright while granting commercial rights, which ties a catalog to Loudly.

Pro adds digital ad campaigns up to $100,000 of media spend, client work, apps and indie games; film and TV need a special license. A release still needs cover art, which the AI image generators I ranked can produce.

A musician who wants royalty payouts pays at least $96 up front for Personal; monthly billing costs $10 a month but pays out nothing.

  • Payouts need an annual plan
  • Spotify release only through Loudly Distro

Artists who want no other user to have their track need an exclusive license instead.

10. Soundful: Best for an Exclusive License on Your Tracks

Soundful homepage, first screen
Soundful homepage, first screen, soundful.com, captured Oct 2026
  • Best for: artists and producers who want no other user on their track
  • Starting price: $4.99 per user per month, billed monthly (Plus)
  • Free plan: 1 MP3 download a month, personal license, credit Soundful
  • Integrations: direct distribution to SoundCloud on Pro

Exclusivity is Soundful’s distinctive right. The Music Creator Plus plan gives an exclusive license with an active subscription, so no other Soundful user can use your created tracks.

Copyright, covering DSPs, TV and sub-licensing, is a separate purchase. A yearly-only Content Creator plan gives a non-exclusive, perpetual license instead, so confirm your plan’s license at checkout.

The plan cards attach a Music Creator License to Plus and Pro. Plus gives 100 MP3 and WAV downloads a month; Pro gives 400 plus 20 stem packs and direct SoundCloud distribution.

Plus comes to $59.88 a year ($4.99 x 12 months) per user on monthly billing.

Which AI music generator to choose by priority, checked Oct 2026

Vocals narrow the field fastest. Suno, Mureka and MusicGPT generate songs, while Soundraw, Mubert and Stable Audio sell instrumental beds and parts.

The license use comes next. A monetized channel needs Pro on Mubert but works on Soundraw’s cheapest plan; a Spotify release rules out Mubert and needs Creator on Eleven Music.

Creative control separates the rest: Mubert’s Track Editor changes structure, BPM and key, Suno Premier’s Studio adds MIDI and automation, and AIVA builds style models from your own audio or MIDI.

Past 20 songs a month, Suno Pro runs out. Mureka Pro’s up to 500 songs and unlimited MP3 downloads, or MusicGPT’s unlimited downloads, raise that ceiling for vocal songs.

Also Considered

  • Udio: Standard costs $8 a month ($96 billed annually), but Udio’s terms forbid downloading Output and any commercial use, which fails the download test.
  • Beatoven.ai: its homepage sells MP3 or WAV downloads per track or by subscription, each with a license to monetise your content. Beatoven.ai keeps ownership of the tracks and bars direct distribution to Spotify, and the homepage lists no plan prices to rank.
  • Soundverse AI: Free (1,000 tokens), Creator & Pro and Enterprise are named without amounts, and paid plans grant commercial rights; with no price, it could not be ranked on cost.

FAQ

Can You Upload AI-Generated Music to Spotify?

Yes, on some plans. Eleven Music permits streaming distribution from Creator, and Soundraw’s Artist plans allow it for modified beats. Loudly allows it through its own distributor, and Mureka’s own page names Spotify releases among the uses its commercial rights cover.

Mubert and Beatoven.ai bar it. Eleven Music’s terms also make you responsible for each platform’s AI-disclosure rules, including labels and metadata.

Can You Use Udio Songs Commercially?

No, not under the terms checked in October 2026. Udio’s terms forbid downloading Output, publishing it on streaming or user-generated content platforms, and any commercial use.

Who Owns the Music an AI Generator Makes?

It depends on the vendor’s terms. Suno assigns its rights to Pro and Premier users, AIVA assigns full copyright on Pro, and Loudly retains copyright. One Loudly exception: tracks generated from audio you upload keep their copyright with you, because they include elements that belong to you.

Final Verdict

Pick Suno Pro for vocal songs if 20 publishable downloads a month covers your output; move to Premier at 60, or to Mureka Pro when you need far more songs for the same yearly price.

For background music under videos on a budget, Soundraw Creator is the pick; choose Mubert Pro only for its Track Editor, never for a release.

For a Spotify release, Eleven Music Creator gives written streaming rights and leaves rights in Output with you; Loudly Personal costs less but keeps the copyright.

A composer who must own the work needs AIVA Pro, and DAW producers should start with Stable Audio Solo.
