Close costs $9 to $139 per user per month billed annually ($19 to $149 billed monthly) across four plans, Solo, Essentials, Growth and Scale, with calling and AI usage billed on top. Close CRM pricing is per seat, so team size sets most of the bill.

Quick pricing answer

Close has four plans. The cheapest, Solo, costs $9 per user per month billed annually or $19 billed monthly, and it is capped at one user.

There is no free plan; the 14-day free trial needs no credit card.

A team that needs automated follow-up and the power dialer should buy Growth: $99 per user per month billed annually, $109 billed monthly.

Calls, SMS, phone numbers and extra AI credits are billed apart from the seats. Prices checked October 2026.

Close Pricing Plans Explained

Three limits force the upgrades: a second user forces Essentials, workflows or the power dialer force Growth, and predictive dialing, custom roles or lead visibility rules force Scale.

What each feature does day to day is in my Close CRM review; here I price the gates.

Solo: $9 per user per month billed annually

Solo fits one seller with under 10,000 leads who calls, emails and texts from the CRM and needs no workflows. Billed annually it is $9 x 12 = $108 a year; billed monthly, $19 a month.

Solo also lacks email open tracking, which starts on Essentials. The 1-user cap is the real trigger: when a second rep joins, the account moves to Essentials at $35 per seat.

Essentials: $35 per user per month billed annually

Essentials gives any number of users unlimited leads, team collaboration, a centralized inbox and task list, and built-in forms, email, calling and SMS. Billed monthly it is $49.

It still has no workflows and no power dialer. That suits reps who work their own lists by hand; move up when a rep spends the day dialing one number at a time.

Growth: $99 per user per month billed annually

A team needs Growth when follow-up must run on its own or reps call down lists. Growth adds automated workflows, Chloe in workflows, the power dialer, custom activities and bulk email; billed monthly it is $109.

The step from Essentials costs $99 – $35 = $64 per user per month on annual billing: the price of automation. Growth also includes one free secondary organization, which Close suggests for a sandbox or a regional office.

Two limits remain: the predictive dialer and custom roles are Scale only, and call recordings are removed after 90 days.

Scale: $139 per user per month billed annually

Scale’s extra $139 – $99 = $40 per user per month over Growth, billed annually, buys predictive dialing, custom roles, lead visibility rules, live call coaching and unlimited call recording retention. Billed monthly it is $149.

Only a high-volume outbound floor or a team that must control which reps see which leads needs it. Close sets one plan for the whole team, so two reps who need the predictive dialer put every seat on Scale.

Above Scale, Close offers custom pricing through a demo and publishes no price for it.

Does Close Have a Free Plan or Trial?

No, Close lists no free plan; it offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. The trial includes $5 of calling and enrichment credits and a fixed 1,000 AI credits for the account, which do not carry over when you upgrade.

If you do not choose a plan, the account pauses and your data stays available for a limited period before deletion. After you buy, the pricing page lists a “30-day money-back guarantee”.

Spend the trial’s $5 on real calls to your own lists, since call rates vary by country and number type. A team that needs a $0 CRM should look at HubSpot Sales Hub’s Free plan, which covers up to 2 users.

Monthly vs Annual Close Pricing

Annual billing saves $19 – $9 = $10 per user per month on Solo, $49 – $35 = $14 on Essentials, $109 – $99 = $10 on Growth and $149 – $139 = $10 on Scale.

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billingSaving per user per year
Solo$19 per user per month$9 per user per month$19 x 12 = $228 minus $9 x 12 = $108, so $120
Essentials$49 per user per month$35 per user per month$49 x 12 = $588 minus $35 x 12 = $420, so $168
Growth$109 per user per month$99 per user per month$109 x 12 = $1,308 minus $99 x 12 = $1,188, so $120
Scale$149 per user per month$139 per user per month$149 x 12 = $1,788 minus $139 x 12 = $1,668, so $120

The “save up to 50%” badge on Close’s pricing page describes Solo, where $9 against $19 is 53% less. On Essentials the cut is 29%, on Growth 9% and on Scale 7%.

On Growth and Scale, monthly billing costs only $10 per seat per month more than annual billing. I would start those plans monthly and commit to a year once the seat count holds steady.

Additional Close Costs to Consider

Close bills three things separately: seats, telephony usage (most outbound calls cost around $0.02 a minute, numbers start at about $1 a month) and AI credits beyond each plan’s allowance. Call Assistant, extra organizations and Premium Support are optional fees.

Routing, phone menus and round robin add no markup.

Chloe, Close’s built-in AI sales agent, comes with every plan, but its voice calls draw both AI credits and telephony charges for the full connected time.

The credit pool sets how far enrichment goes. A 5-seat Growth team gets 1,500 x 5 = 7,500 credits a month, which at 6 credits per field covers 7,500 / 6 = 1,250 enriched fields.

Pricing note

Each plan includes AI credits per user per month: 500 on Solo, 1,000 on Essentials, 1,500 on Growth and 2,000 on Scale. The shared pool stops growing at 10 users on Essentials, Growth and Scale, so it caps at 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000 credits a month.

When the pool hits zero, Chloe Voice Agents, Enrichment and Auto Updates pause until credits are added.

How Much Does Close Cost for Your Team?

On annual billing, Close’s seat fees run from $9 x 1 x 12 = $108 a year for one Solo user to $139 x 12 x 12 = $20,016 a year for 12 Scale users.

This calculator needs JavaScript. The scenario table below gives the same estimate for typical workloads.

The calculator asks for your users, the billing cycle and the features you need, such as workflows or the predictive dialer. It shows all four plans side by side and names the cheapest one that covers the need. Telephony, extra AI credits, add-ons and tax stay out.

Each total is a list-price estimate for seats only, not a quote. Telephony, extra AI credits, Call Assistant, extra organizations and Premium Support come on top.

The 12-rep row can also negotiate: Close offers discounts to teams with 10+ seats that commit for 12+ months, and its Success team sets the amount. A multi-year budget with usage and onboarding lines fits my CRM cost calculator template.

Which Close Plan Should Your Sales Team Choose?

Choose Solo for one seller, Essentials for a small team that works its inbox by hand, Growth once follow-up must run automatically or reps dial lists, and Scale only for high-volume outbound or locked-down lead access.

Is Close Worth the Price?

Close is worth its price for phone-and-email sales teams: calling and SMS come with every seat, the power dialer with Growth, and calls pass through at cost. Skip Close if your team rarely picks up the phone.

The gap runs from Solo at $9 through Essentials at $35 to Growth at $99, all per user per month billed annually.

Close Growth, the plan that adds workflows and the power dialer, is $99 per user per month billed annually, against $24 for Pipedrive Growth and $39 for Freshsales Pro on the same basis. For an email-led team, my ranking of the best CRM software covers cheaper picks.

Close Pricing vs Competitors

Close’s $9 entry matches Freshsales Growth and sits below Pipedrive Lite’s $14, but Close Growth costs more than the next plan up at Pipedrive, Freshsales and Salesflare. HubSpot Sales Hub Professional and Salesforce Pro Suite sit near Growth.

Pipedrive Growth, built to automate emails and follow-ups, is the cheapest next-up plan here; the Pipedrive vs Close comparison weighs that seat gap.

HubSpot’s Professional seat starts below Close Growth, but its required one-time $1,500 onboarding fee lifts a small team’s first year above Close.

For 5 seats billed annually, HubSpot Professional costs $90 x 5 x 12 = $5,400 plus the $1,500 fee, which is $6,900, against $99 x 5 x 12 = $5,940 on Close Growth; my HubSpot vs Close comparison weighs the rest.

Salesforce’s Pro Suite prices almost level with Close Growth, which makes Salesforce vs Close the page for larger teams choosing a suite.

Freshsales Growth matches Close Solo’s entry price, though Solo stops at one user; Freshsales vs Close splits that tie.

Salesflare’s Enterprise plan needs at least 5 users, a floor small B2B teams should check in Close vs Salesflare.

Billing, Discounts and Cancellation

Close publishes two discounts: the annual billing price and a negotiated discount for teams with 10+ seats that commit for 12+ months.

Upgrades take effect immediately with a pro-rated charge. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of the billing period, once usage sits under the lower plan’s limits.

Removing a user mid-cycle keeps the seat open until the next cycle, with no automatic refund, so fill it with a new hire. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the monthly or annual period, with full access until then, as Close’s cancellation help states.

How I Verified Close Pricing

I took every Close price from close.com/pricing on October 26, 2026, in both its Monthly and Annually views, and the usage and billing rules from Close’s help center the same day.

  • Region and currency: a US visitor, USD, per user per month.
  • Help center pages: plans and billing, usage costs, AI credits, enrichment, Call Assistant, A2P 10DLC, support plans, and users and cancellation.
  • How totals were calculated: annual total = annual price x users x 12; monthly equivalent = annual price x users; list prices only.
  • Rivals: each vendor’s own pricing page in October 2026; Salesforce from the Internet Archive copy of October 10, 2026.
  • What Close does not publish: the 10+ seat discount amount, a custom pricing figure, whether prices include tax, and per-country call rates, which follow Twilio’s pay-as-you-go pricing.
  • Facts and judgment: prices and fees are Close’s; scenario totals are my arithmetic; plan picks are my reading of the plan gates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my own phone number with Close?

Yes. The pricing page lists phone lines as “BYOL or rent”, with rented lines from $1 per line per month. An external number set as Caller ID bills calls at that number’s origin rates, so a US number calling Australia pays US-to-Australia rates.

Do unused Close AI credits roll over?

No. Both the plan’s included credits and any credit subscription start fresh each billing cycle. The pool is shared by the whole account, so one heavy user can drain everyone’s balance; admins get an in-app and email warning when the pace would run out early.

What happens to my data if I cancel Close?

Close purges an organization’s lead data 91 days after cancellation by default. Reactivating within that window may recover it; after 91 days it is gone. Export leads and activities first, and port phone numbers out if you want to keep them.

Can different teams be on different Close plans?

No. Linked organizations must share the same plan and billing schedule, so one office cannot sit on Scale while another runs Essentials. A user in several linked organizations is charged once, and one invoice covers them all.

Final Pricing Verdict

A team of 3 to 10 reps that dials lists or automates follow-up should start on Growth at $99 per user per month billed annually; workflows and the power dialer are what Close’s price is for.

A small team that works leads by hand starts on Essentials at $35 per user per month billed annually. One seller starts on Solo; Scale is for predictive dialing or locked-down lead access, not for a bigger team by default.

A team that rarely calls should not buy Close before pricing Pipedrive or Freshsales. Everyone else should budget calls, numbers, Call Assistant and extra AI credits beside the seats.
